Deafen The Creatures are an Acoustic Electronic band based in Manchester who were formed in February 2011 and effortlessly combine the traditional nuances of delicate male/female vocals, acoustic guitars and piano with the modern approach of ambient synths and driving electronic beats to create vast intertwining soundscapes. Featuring Kieran Joyce (Martin Guitar and BBE Electronics endorsee), Elinor Alicia Gray (MOJO Magazine’s New Voice 2011), Daniel Finney (soundtrack composer for Egosoft’s X3 Terran Conflict) and Chris Paton (BBE Electronics endorsee), the band are currently promoting their recently released 2nd EP “This World Of Ours” which is available to download for free. Recent achievements include repeated airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music as well as a studio interview and inclusion on Tom Robinson’s Fresh On The Net podcast. Support slots include John Grant (MOJO Magazine’s Best Live Act 2011) and RAMS’ Pocket Radio (main support for Snow Patrol’s 2012 European arena tour).

“Last year I had the privilege of helping judge the MOJO Glenfiddich New Voice Finals, the resounding winner was the lead singer from tonight’s guest group Elinor Alicia Gray…Great as she was, it turned out Deafen The Creatures is even greater, exceeding the sum of its parts.”
Tom Robinson, BBC 6Music

“It carries you through all the drifting moods of a dusky autumn evening, evoking the time when rusty leaves fall from the trees, and the world is two breaths away from falling into a deep sleep.”
Grant Goodman, Dust Jacket Dispatch

“The subtle, delicateness of their sound is what makes them so beautiful. Each song captivates you and sends you on an incredibly emotional journey. Now I am a big Heavy Metal fan with an even bigger scepticism towards the Acoustic Electronic scene, so to find a band whose music can completely change your views on different music genres is definitely a band worth listening to.”
Chelsea Rhoades, Unsigned and Unholy

“One of the best EPs I’ve heard for a while!”
Simon Pursehouse, Sentric Music

Deafen The Creatures: like an early Elbow mixed with Matchbox 20 via Fleetwood Mac. Is nice!”
Band Royale 2011

“I really like what I’m hearing. Great tones, nice voice!”
